Thanks. I originally posted this a year ago. I'm now 16 years from my surgery and 17 years (6/22) from my date of diagnosis. It's amazing the little things that you forget. This past school year, another staff member was also dxd with rectal cancer. I remember telling him about the oxi side effects, things to do during radiation, etc but totally forgot about the horrible feeling in your jaw with your first bit post oxi! After he told me about it, the memories cane flooding back. It goes to show you that as the years since your treatments keep getting further and further in the background, your life truly does move forward. No I will never totally forget about my diagnosis and battle with cancer and yes, there will be scars that will always remind me.....but life truly does go on.

5 months Xeloda only Dec '06 - April '07
10+ blood clots, 1 DVT 1/07
transanal excision 4/20/07 path-NO CANCER CELLS!
