Another 10 years Ned member

Postby Jimswife » Sat Oct 02, 2021 3:06 pm

After not logging on for months - years and just seeing horizons post futher down I just thought I’d also post to say my husband is also coming up 10 years cancer free …. I also used to scour this and many other forums for success stories in the early days when I was scared and not very knowledgable about this disease ….. I wanted to come back and post to give others that story of hope that I craved back then …. Life is good x
Victoria , Wife to Jim age 43 dx oct 2011
Stage 3 cc with 2 out of 21 positive lymph nodes
Folfox starts nov 11-may 12
All scans and bloods since surgery confirm no evidence of disease
Hoping to stay ned forever .... Fingers crossed !!!!!!!

This gives me hope. stage 3c, 3 lymph nodes out of 32. It’s been 1 1/2 years since my surgery. I had 9 rounds of chemo after surgery. 3 CT scans have been clear, CEA at .9.
Thanks for your post.

Yesssss. I remember he was always right behind me in my journey. Glad he's still doing well!
I'm just a dude who still can't believe he had a resection and went through chemo (currently 13 years NED). Is this real life?

Jimswife -

Thank you for dropping by to share your "10 years Ned" news. That's wonderful to hear!

Yes, there are still a few people around here who remember you and your distinctive avatar from years gone by, but for the most part Colon Club is a somewhat different place right now, with different faces and a number of new arrivals. If you're interested, here is a snapshot of Colon Club the way it was back then when you were active here ten years ago.

Best wishes for good health and happiness for the future. Take care and keep safe!
