THC RSO

Postby natelaugh » Thu Apr 04, 2019 5:01 pm

Hi,

I am wondering if anyone has look into THC such as Rick Simpson Oil as an alternative cure? I have been reading the forum and it seems the standard chemo are FOLFOX and CAPOX. However, it is not certain that after treatment, there is no more cancer in the blood. Moreover, the chemo treatment has to stop at some point because there is no detectable cancer cell or not effective.

My point is I think there should to be a preventive med such as THC or some med where you can take it daily as a maintenance to stop cancer cell.

I love to hear any feed back.

Thanks,
Nate.

Pretty sure if THC could cure cancer the oncology profession would not exist. THC can help with side effects from chemo but it's not going to kill a cancer cell.

I had give my dad Cannabidiol CBD, tetrahydrocannabinol THC tincture with 1:3 ratio when his doctor told him he had cancer and I was concern his cancer will spread. It was given 1 week 10-15ml at night. During this time, he had blood test and I read his kidney function Glomerular filtration rate(GFR). It improved 7 points. The GFR standard range is >= 60 mL/min. He was at 36 on 1/25/19 and it went up to 43 mL/min on 2/1/19. His GFR had always been in range of 36-38 mL/min because he has chronic kidney disease.

After stopping his cannabis med his GFR drop to 39 on 2/13/19. I had to stop a week before his right colectomy surgery on 2/19/19. He was on TPN for 2 weeks from 2/28/19 to 3/14/19 because small intestine didn't wake up and he could not eat.

Post surgery his GFR is at 41 mL/min on 3/28/19. I have not use any cannabis med because he is going to be doing chemotherapy 5 fu for 6 months in a few week.

I took RSO before and following my most recent bout with cancer. It certainly helped with pain management. I was able to manage pain 100% with the oil. That said, I can’t really speak for how it works on fighting cancer as the surgery alone was with “curable intent”. I certainly wouldn’t rely on it as the sole treatment, but rather an integrative approach with allopathic therapies.

I sometimes use it at night to slow down my GI system so I can sleep (works much better than Imodium - at least for me - and doesn't cause constipation as sometimes occurs with Imodium). RSO is basically the whole plant with all the cannabinoids extracted, and then condensed into something that resembles tar. It usually comes in a small (pediatric size) syringe. If it produces a buzz, I missed it because a grain-of-rice-size dose puts me out for about 8 hours.

Hi Beccaschocked,

Did you use RSO and chemotherapy together? How long and often did you use RSO? Do you think RSO and chemo together cause issues?

Thanks,
Nate.

Nate,

So Sorry it took me a bit to respond. I used RSO to help with my side effects during chemo. It helps emensily!

When I had my lung recurrence we didn’t do chemo, and I used theaputic doses both as pain management and In hopes of reading any microscopic cancer.

My lobectomy put me back to NED, so I really don’t know if it helped, but definetly recommend using it for side effects.

If the cancer comes back, I’d do both chemo and therapeutic doses of RSO
