MissMolly's insightful posts

Postby Jacques » Thu May 25, 2017 1:36 pm

If any of you would like to review some of the insightful posts of MissMolly, here is a two-step procedure that you can use:

  • STEP 1: Get a complete list of all of MissMolly’s posts. You can do this by clicking on the link below.
    http://coloncancersupport.colonclub.com/search.php?st=0&sk=t&sd=d&sr=posts&author_id=97334
    .
  • STEP 2: Use keyword search on the complete list. You can search the complete list of MissMolly’s posts by keyword(s) to get a shorter list of posts to review. To do this, type your keyword(s) in the "Search these results" search box that will appear at the top-left of the page next to the small magnifying-glass icon. Then click on the magnifying-glass icon to retrieve the posts that contain those particular keywords.

A list of possible keywords is given below. MissMolly’s posts cover a wide range of topics about the human body and disease processes, and her posts reflect insights she has obtained over the years while working as a physical therapist in the medical arena and while managing her own health situation and while serving as caregiver.

You can also search for keywords not found on the list below if you want to. Keep in mind, however, that the search function requires keywords to be at least four characters long.

Remember, for each keyword search that you want to do you have to go through STEP 1 followed by STEP 2 above.

I could be mistaken, but I believe Miss Molly's first post was to give me wonderful advice about my temp ileostomy. Karen has become a dear friend and has shared so much detailed, helpful advice since that first post. She really is one of a kind and I'm honored to call her my friend. I'm glad that others have benefited from her knowledge and kind heart. I had a tough time with my ileostomy but it would have been much, much harder without Karen's support and friendship. She had solutions for the issues I was having when the advice the doctors and nurses gave me failed repeatedly. I'll never be able to thank her enough.

I would suggest reading through her posts, especially if you are dealing with an ostomy. She not only shares her personal knowledge, but provides links to some really great websites.

The whole community is better off because you are a part of it, Miss Molly.

I must second Judy's comments regarding Karen. I've gotten so many really useful ostomy tips from her. She's thoughtful, caring and knowledgable. A true asset to our community.

And thanks to Jacques for putting together the list.

I am humbled . . .

And I am glad that I can be of help, however small or large, in helping anyone in easing their experience with compromised health or adding to the pool of knowledge.

Loss of health is no picnic. My own life has become smaller and smaller as chronic ill-health has become more dominating.

The power of forums, such as this, brings light to personal darkness. People helping people.

I came to know NWGirl (Belle), a former Colon Club member, through her participation on the UOAA forum. When I met Belle for the first time, the connection of friendship was immediate. Sitting at a small coffee cafe in Vancouver, WA, we talked as though we had known each other for a lifetime. I participate here in memory and respect for Belle.

Friendships through forums such as this are every bit as "real" as friendships in the person/flesh. Who would think that people hundreds of miles away could care so much?

The Colon Club is special because its members are special.

Keep being who you are to one another,
- Karen -
Dear friend to Bella Piazza, former Colon Club member (NWGirl).
I have a permanent ileostomy and offer advice on living with an ostomy - in loving remembrance of Bella
I am on Palliative Care for broad endocrine failure + Addison's disease + osteonecrosis of both hips/jaw + immunosuppression. I live a simple life due to frail health.

Hi Karen,
I have never met you but I admire and respect your courage and intelligence. You are a survivor of life in the extreme. I have learned a lot from your posts. You have not only helped me to survive my twenty year journey of survival from cancer but have given me the strength not to give up to long term health issues. I know how unwell you are and have been, may you have the strength to continue the journey, Hugs Ron.
