My Dad is at peace.

Postby kymalynna2727 » Thu Mar 22, 2012 7:53 am

I just wanted to say Thank-you to the colon club. All of you were a constant source of support during my Dad's long journey with rectal cancer. He battled since 7/2009, enduring more treatments that I could have ever imagined. Although I didn't post much (only 2 posts), I visited the board daily and learned so much from all of you. I remain in awe of the courage and strength that I have seen on this board. I continue to pray for the day that all cancer will be easily preventable/curable. Wishing all of you health and happiness.

Sorry for your loss.
I hope you and friends and family find solace in the life he lived, the courage with which he faced his struggle, and the fact he is now, truly cured and at peace.

Kim,
Prayers to you and your family. I am also in awe of the people on hee even though I am in this battle myself. I especiAlly feel for the caregivers. I am going through this and I am at peace with whatever will happen but I cannot imagine what my wife is going through. She is a tough lady and doesn't really talk much about it even though I try to get her to share.
God bless.

I'm so sorry for your loss Kim. I HATE this disease! My mom says it's the most evil of cancers. I don't know about that, but it's pretty wicked.

I'm glad the cc was able to give you some support.

Again, I'm sorry for the loss for your family.
