I have the opportunity to start a new trial in late July.
AMG305 is another bispecific antibody that attaches to t-cells and msln and cdh3 in the hope of bringing them together and getting the body to recognize the tumour cells.
Msln and cdh3 are both found on solid tumors. The oncologist said they trialed this last year but the body of most patients quickly produced antibodies against the drug and the drug was ineffective.
This time they are adding a drug that’s been around for a while rituximab which attaches to immune b-cells and it dies then antibodies cannot be made so hopefully the drug can do its job.
With this trial I’ll have to stay in hospital a few nights and have a lot more tests.
