Belated thanks to this forum

Postby Mommysgirl » Fri Jun 06, 2025 1:30 am

My mom was diagnosed with a T4N1MX tumour of the splenic flexure in her colon with LVI in 2012 (stage 3b). Her resection was a nightmare and a supposed 5 days in hospital turned into 5 weeks. She was 60 years old at the time. Then came 6 months of Folfox and every session brought new side effects. That’s where this forum helped so much - I got so many tips for things to try to help her and make her more comfortable. Whilst on here back then, I saw a post where someone commented that survivors don’t post to let others know there is hope and I promised myself I would do that if we were so lucky - and we were! She’s living life to the full. I had my own colonoscopy yesterday and it reminded me to post this so a big thank you to everyone who posts and best of luck to everyone!
