So we had to reschedule his appointment because the scan results wouldn't be ready, but the first available was 7/1. I was checking his health portal to confirm I had the right day/time for next week, and saw the PET scan results have been posted. Probably not the best idea, but I read through the report.

It compared to his last PET scan which was October of last year, and in that time his mesenteric spot has grown a little; .1 x .6 cm larger. But it seems to have absorbed slightly less sugar than before? The real kick in the gut is a spot they have been watching for years got a little bigger and now has metabolic activity. The hope was the scan would show nothing new, that if it was contained to this one spot that maybe we could knock it out for good. Now I get to stew in this knowledge until next Tuesday, not knowing how we're going to move forward. He has never had a lung met before.
