I'm having a colonscopy soon, bit nervous but not too nervous, it would be pretty rare for them to find anything 1 yaer post OP and 6 months of chemo right?

Right! I think that the purpose of this colonoscoy is three-fold:
1. To check that the anastomosis junction has healed properly.
2. To check if any new polyps have developed.
3. To check if there are any other visible problems on the surface of the colon (e.g., diverticulosis, ischemia, ulcerative colitis, etc., etc.)

Normally they would not expect to find any problems, and in that case they would schedule the next colonoscopy 5 or 10 years in the future.
...
Additonal comment:

NOTE: Not all colonoscopies are equal. Some are better than others. There are established indicators that distinguish good colonoscopies from those that are not-so-good:

If you read the article in the link above you can get a better idea of how well your colonoscopy was actually performed.

In any event, you should certainly request a copy of the written text of the colonoscopy procedure, along with sny color photos taken during the procedure.

Also be sure to complete the full colonoscopy prep procedure, otherwise the doctor's view of the colon msy be obscured or blurred and he may not be able to see the fine details on the colon wall.

Good luck!
