I have to admit that I am in shock. And don't know what to say. There is a woman with stage 4 breast cancer on chemo treatment currently living near me. The couple has 2 young children. Boy and a girl. The girl is around 3 years old. Boy probably 8. The couple just announced that they are having a new baby via surrogacy being born in 6 weeks. As far as I know stage 4 breast cancer is not curable like some cases of colorectal cancer. My mom had breast cancer 25 years ago. I am well informed. What were they thinking. Can't they focus on raising their 2 children? Maybe I see it in a wrong way.
When I was diagnosed stage 4 I had 2 kids in high school. I am thankful every day that they are now a college senior and a freshman being independent. I pushed them to mature faster. My son traveled solo around the World lately. My girl is applying to med schools now. But that was my biggest worry to bring them to independence.
