THREE YEARS PASSED - ALIVE and going....

Just wanted to let all our fellow cancer.ians that I've crossed 3 yrs successfully . Initial 1.5 yrs was challenging - Now I am doing good with god's grace

I believe this milestone gives everyone a hope and light into their challenging journey. Keep it going and you will be all well.

Feb 2021 - Dx Stage3B - rectal cancer (Age is 48, Male)
April 2021 - Radiation - for a week (5 mins x 5 days)
May 2021 - LAR surgery
Pathology: G2, LN+ PVI+, Lymph Nodes 5 out of 22
Temporary Ileostomy
Jun-Aug 2021 - Chemo 4 cycles 3 months (CAPOX)
Feb 2022 - Ileostomy reversal

LVI and PNI: absent
Surgical margins: clear
No lynch Syndrome or MSI
Primary surgery type: Laparascopic

@Pagola - You will be alright very soon, just pass the journey with lot confidence. Few tips from my experience:
1. Eat healthy foods (big NO to sugar, Low carb) - Fruits, vegetables, Nuts, berries, supplements (VitD, Omega 3 & Curcumin)
2. Stay positive always; read only good stuff - dont believe everything that you read from Dr Google. Each of our body is different. Pls keep that in mind
3. Do good excercise
