3.5 years result

Postby I_will_fight » Fri Jan 12, 2024 10:39 am

Hi All,

I just received the report from my 3.5 years tests

CT scan - clear.

Tumor markers:
CEA 1.3
CA125 7
CA199 2

Everthing else also normal My lymphocites are slightly over the normal range and NLR is 0.86 (so more lymphocytes than neutrophils) Not sure what to make of this.

I had a signatera test last september and it was clear.

I am very happy

I am still having CT scans every 6 months, Is this normal for high risk stage 2 follow up?

Thank you and good luck to all.

Congrats on the clear scan!! Amazing news :)

I can’t speak to the bloodwork or frequency of scans for you but I’m sure others that are much better informed than myself will give you some advice.

Anyway.. congratulations again and keep enjoying this wonderful journey of life!

Congratulations on your clear scans and low CEA level. I do not know what the CA199 is?
I’m new to this space and your post is encouraging. Thank You.

Hi all,

DarknessEmbraced, Skimom and Ginny, thanks for your kind words.

Regarding Ginny's question on tumor marker ca19.9

CEA is typically the most specific marker for CRC, but it also can be raised by inflammation and/or liver stress (the liver cleans up CEA)

CA19.9 is typically used for Pancreatic Cancer but when CA199 is elevated it often indicates CRC presence or progression.

https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC8006010/

I also get another marker, CA125, which is a marker mostly used for ovarian cancer but it seems to also increase when for CRC specially in the presence of Peritoneal dissemination (i.e. when the colon cancer invades the peritoneum)

https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC5134852/

https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/33935125/

Hope this helps, Best regards
