Very sorry, Rock Robster.

This one didn’t work, but there is one out there that will.

Of course that sucks, but on with the show.

I have two questions.
What was the physical cost of the Atrium trial in terms of side effects and blood panels?
What % of your work are you functioning at or willing to give up to work harder on yourself?

Thanks RP. Good questions as always.

Side effects minimal, a bit more cumulative fatigue. My liver enzymes are beginning to creep up again, but onc believes that’s more related to hep disease progression than the trial drug (but who knows).

I’m currently at about 80-90% capacity. I’m working full-time, I lead a team of 6 in a multinational. But I can work flexibly / from home, which is great. Ongoing fatigue and diarrhea are my main challenges.

I’m prepared to give up almost everything if it puts a reasonable outcome on the table (doesn’t have to be ‘cure’, but durable stable would at least be good). I don’t have to work - I have good life insurance through my employer and could take medical retirement now and get a payout. That said, I enjoy working and it makes sense to do while I can. My challenge is the main ‘sacrificial’ treatments being shown to me are conventional chemo - ie back on XELIRI, or Lonsurf+Avastin. Neither of those are interesting to me. They’re talking about SIRT/Y90 to buy me some liver time, which I’m fine with. But I really need a good trial, something properly novel but not one of these Hail Mary’s that are on really shaky data.

Will keep working the problem as always.

Really sorry to hear this news, Rob.

Whilst there are options though… That’s a positive!
Although not interesting to you, it’s good your onc is willing to let you rechallenge prior chemos.
I’ve heard positive things about Y90! Maybe you could be creative and mess around with a few things with the hope that more trials become available.

What’s the latest with fruiti?

Best wishes

OH man, that really blows! Damn.
I am so so sorry it wasn't a good trial for you.
You are good at finding ways to keep it in control so I know you will find something that will work.
I was watching this dr who explained the fenben molecule and protocol. Fascinating really. It works on the microtubules of the cancer cells so glucose can't enter and iron can't get out therfore the cancer cell dies. There were some other technical things it does to cancer cells but those two stuck out. Peoples mainly documenting their personal trials were lung and liver cancer or mets to them.

Sorry to hear this news, Rob. I was somehow barred from posting for a bit, so couldn’t respond initially. As usual, you seem to have an optimal focus and attitude. I wish you success with the next approach you choose.

That trial looks promising—our oncologist thinks combining anti-pd1 immunotherapy with other inhibitors, and not just ctla-4 is the key to making immunotherapy work for MSS patients. I hope this one provides some benefit for you!
