Question about Rolles Surgery

Postby beach sunrise » Sat Mar 25, 2023 2:39 pm

I can't remember who on the forum is going for the Rolles procedure in Germany soon.
I am wondering if its still a GO? I've been reaching out to them thru emails and phone calls About my case and they are staying silent?

Hi beachsunrise, after another CT Scan, Dr Kern gave us a schedule. We just booked our tickets. I will update here once the surgery is done :).

I saw you got a Go too! Thanks to Zephyr ive been exchanging emails with her too… she’s very generous with giving information.

If things go fast enough I might see yall there! I am happy yall were a candidate also.
Went to a cookout today at my daughters. Her in laws are German. They rec'd flying into Munich if possible as Frankfurt is a bit of a hassle and when you have jet lag you don't want to really deal with it. That was there tip of the day.
Is the surgery open? Mine will be. I read one guys experience about Rolles open surgery and it was a little intimidating.

Good tip - Frankfurt is indeed busy. If the final destination is Coswig then you’re actually a fair bit closer to Berlin, or even Prague - although it’s in a different country it’s about 2 hours drive closer than Frankfurt/Munich.

Good luck!

Thanks R_R!
Another tip they gave me was to book flight thru ABCTravel.de (I think they said it is a German company)
That is what they use. Much cheaper at 750 euros round trip flying out of ATL.

More cracks in the system. Had appt for passport renewal (ours expired last year). Post office canceled appt without reason, just they can't do anything for about 3 weeks. Well the other post offices are so called booked for 6 weeks out average. So, guess we got to go to ATL to the federal building SMDH

You need to call The National Passport Information Center, and explain that you have urgent, health-related travel. They should be able to schedule an urgent appointment for you and process your passport within 5-14 days depending on your flight date.

https://travel.state.gov/content/travel ... -fast.html

Sometimes it is also helpful to call your Senator's office and ask for assistance - we have successfully done that in MA.

Wow. Thanks for pointing out how broken everything is now. Hard to believe.

Coming through San Francisco pre Covid, I vaguely recall tight scheduling for office hours near a holiday, preregistration and trying to find parking, but in reality it was a cake walk, 45 minutes and they replaced my unexpired old one with a new one.
