What good is a specialty surgeon when at the end of the day after all the other factors indicate mets they do nothing but wait on a definitive scan? Its like they are saying we know and you know its mets based on combined factors except a definitive scan so we have to wait until scan proves it, so in other words we are going to let you get stuck in this crack then try to rescue you." I have hunted all surgeons I know of in the USA and that is what I feel is the underlying message.
Emailed oncologist to see if he knows someone to consult with that doesn't let SOC rule over experience.
