5 years post stage 4 diagnosis and all clear!

Hi Everyone,
I don't post much anymore but do check in from time to time. In late December I was at Mayo Rochester for my annual review. All is clear and I was released to my primary Dr. A little mixed feelings about it all. I love being considered cured but will miss the care that I got at Mayo.
On a side note, My LARS that had been pretty will under control had really taken a turn the last 4 months or so. I mentioned this to my Oncologist and after asking some more questions, he recommended taking Metamucil once a day. I have to say it has been a life changer. I fell about 90% back to my pre-surgery self. What a blessing!
Hang in there all who are in the midst of this thing!

So happy to see! Your posts have been helping me since I joined! My mom just got her 6 month check on Monday and all stable. Almost at the 4 year mark now for us! Take care!

Congrats and thanks for posting this good and hopeful news. I am waiting on my 5 year scan results today.
I too have mixed feelings about being discharged. Are you going to still do yearly CEA/CBC ?
