Long-term question - does anyone else feel extremely cold in winter?

Postby shaina » Fri Jan 06, 2023 4:50 am

Hi, all. Over four years since chemo for advanced stage IV colon cancer, still here - and having follow-up. I have noticed that I always seem to feel the cold more than others in my family - to an extreme extent. Even with heating on, and layers of clothing, I seem to be almost permanently freezing. Does anyone else suffer from this long-term problem? Not talking about the immediate "freezer burn" problems of Oxyplatin which I also suffered. Thanks for any advice, and everyone should have a complete recovery, G-d willing.

My husband does. He usually tolerates the cold quite well but since his diagnosis, he really suffers from the cold.

Absolutely! Before chemo, I loved the cold of winter and struggled in the hot weather. Since chemo, I am the exact opposite. I thought I was the only one!

My hands are terribly cold, I even had to buy a heated mouse to work. Not sure if this is related to treatment or just generally aging though.
