=============================================
There are several new surveys recently released claiming that Generation Z employees are very difficult to work with, for example:

After reading several of these articles the thought occurred to me that some of these findings in the workplace might also apply to Generation Z patients  in hospitals -- in particular Early-Age-Onset CRC patients.

Several questions then come to mind:

  • Are Generation Z patients going to be more difficult to deal with -- i.e., more difficult than any earlier generation of CRC patients?
    .
  • If so, what are the reasons for this, and what (if anything) can be done about it?

Any thoughts?

Generation X here and birthed two generation Z !!

Threw away the parenting books when they were around three and one and went back to my instinct . Withdrew from around half their activities when I realised they hated them and the Olympics were not on the horizon and enjoyed family time instead . Became bemused by many , many parents commenting on how outstanding their children were and thought they can’t all occupy that spot so changed my mantra to “ you are very special to me but the rest of the world might find you decidedly average , be comfortable with that “ .
But I can see exactly why generation Z will find some structures or systems hard to navigate. The health care will be impacted in two ways . They are now starting to deliver health care and increasingly using it .
We live in interesting times .

And just in case you are all wondering they are well adjusted adults . Preparing them to take the knocks of life was in fact ok .
supporter to my mum who lives a great life despite a difficult diagnosis
stage4 2009 significant spread to liver
2010 colon /liver resection
chemo following recurrence
73% of liver removed
enjoying life treatment free
2016 lung resection
Oct 2017 nice clear scan . Two lung nodules disappeared
Oct 2018. Another clear scan .
