Glad you are pursuing a further check- up due to CEA rise, as it is better safe than sorry- but CEA can be fickle for some. Mine has bounced around throughout my 5 years since diagnosis. Drives me crazy. You should start to get a good idea what your baseline is after treatment and side effects are done, and then the doc will watch for trend rising upward from check to check. That seems to be more of a concern than one jump up that then falls back down.
