yearly colonoscopy- pre cancerous polyp 2 yrs in a row

Postby Koreysue » Fri Dec 02, 2022 1:10 am

Hi All,
I am on a yearly colonoscopy plan because when I went 3 years in between, they found a large 10mm pre cancerous polyp.
That was last year, so I just had my colonoscopy 2 days ago, and AGAIN they found a 10 mm pre cancerous polyp, but this time it grew only a years time.
Has any one else had this happen, is this fairly common? I am not Lynch positive.

If you maintained some of the extra blood data, even the cheap ones, there might be extra hints, or reassurances, what's going on. Likewise there may be chemical/nutritional means to reduce the polyps' recur and growth rates.

There are several proposed (bio)chemical indicators and simple treatments.
Special considerations for some, "mere supplementation" and diet for others.

I'll give an example. An older sibling with similar metabolism, worse lifestyle had 6 polyps removed in mid 30s including a really big one. For all my bad habits and a 20s rectal/anoxic blood problem, I had been experimenting with various protocols (aspirin, supplements) for known, observable or measurable risk factors with two polyps removed in mid 50s. Not scientifically significant butt...

watchful, active researcher and caregiver for stage IVb/c CC. surgeries 4/10 sigmoid etc & 5/11 para-aortic LN cluster; 8 yrs immuno-Chemo for mCRC; now no chemo
most of 2010 Life Extension recommendations and possibilities + more, some (much) higher, peaking ~2011-12, taper chemo to almost nothing mid 2018, IV C-->2021. Now supplements

Hi Koreysue -

If you are not positive for Lynch Syndrome (HNPCC) or for Familial Adenomatous Polyposis (FAP), then the repeated onset of polyps might be due to one of the following factors -- but this is only a guess...

That's all I can think of at the moment.

Take care ...
