10++ years and counting ...

Postby O Stoma Mia » Tue Sep 27, 2022 12:22 pm

Just checking in today to let you all know that this week will mark ten years since DX. I have now done my time and have received an "Honourable Discharge" from my oncologist in a document that includes the phrase, "complete remission". So ... this has meant no more visits with the oncologist, no more 3-month check-ups, and no more 6-month check-ups. Only periodic check-ups with my family doctor from time to time.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank all my friends here who supported me during the time when I was active on this Forum. This was a place where I could go whenever there was no other place to go.

Keep healthy, and best wishes for the onward journey!

Hi OSM

Amazing to hear that and I still sometimes lurk around here, but I thought after seeing this that I had to actually log in and comment. My sincere congratulations on this result and I wanted to thank you for the cool, calm, logical and reassuring presence you have always been on this board. So many time I read your comments and felt calmed down, and I have never actually articulated that so not only do you have my congratulations, but you have my heartfelt appreciation.

May your life continue to flow in the way you want it to.

Cheers and best wishes,

Kiwi

BUMP

Just checking in again to let my friends here know that I'm still around -- now it's 11 years since DX! It's hard to believe that so many years have gone by, but it's true...

See y'all again next year, same time, same station.

Take care ...
