Also please take care of yourself as well as this puts a lot of stress on spouse. I know my journey so far has been more tough on my husband than on me.

I join Beenu best wishes to your husband, and I also agree that you need to take care of yourself. This journey is very tough for families too.

Aww thanks Beenu and Luna! I have a strong network of friends, and ways to alleviate stress (lots of physical activity!). Beenumehta, I see in your signature that you recently had LAR surgery, I hope it went well; do you have a temporary ileostomy? Apologies if you already posted about it, I tend to forget/mix people form the forum sometimes.

you probably know the key is to put it on *before* going to the bathroom, as it’s a barrier cream

No actually I didn't know, so I made sure to tell my husband, thank you!

Another ok-ish night; at this point he cannot fathom venturing out of the house, but we were expecting it (for the first couple of weeks at least).
