Plastic surgery reconstruction

Postby saltygirl » Mon May 09, 2022 9:36 am

Please don’t judge. But I want to share since this could help other women. I had an open abdominal surgery. And just had a reconstruction with a plastic surgeon. He did a fabulous job. It looks amazing. We got rid off most of my vertical scar. And I am ready for a bikini this summer.

Great idea! I would consider this if I didn’t think there was a good chance I’d be getting more scars again in future :) . I was so pleased when I had my port removed - it was a bit premature but I felt so much better and less self-conscious etc.

Thank you all. I love it. My surgeon fixed my stomach so it’s better than before having kids.

You go girl!!!
I had a microsurgeon during surgery.
Surgeon got the cancer out and plastic surgeon put me back together. I have a hairline scar from breast bone to pelvic bone.
Surgeons are generally not trained so well in stitching. I asked for a plastic surgeon as part of the surgery team and it was approved.

Good for you! I didn’t even think that’s possible. That’s a great scenario to get it fixed while in an original surgery.
