Love to all

Hi aquarian_asian -

Congratulations on making it through the first year without a recurrence. Thanks for checking in and posting the good news.

Your next goal, then, would be the two-year mark, which is a very significant milestone, since I think that most recurrences occur within the first two years if they are ever going to occur, so if you can make it that far without having a recurrence then you will be doing very well.

After the two-year mark the next major milestone would be the five-year mark, which is when the doctors relax some of the surveillance measures, and it is at this point that many oncologists decide to discharge their patients if no recurrences have appeared so far.

There are many moderate-risk Stage III patients here who have made it through to the five year mark without recurrences.

One Stage III member that comes to mind is testing765, who reached the five-year mark in 2020:

During the five years from 2015 to 2020 he repeatedly asked for help from members on this forum and he diligently followed the advice after checking with his doctors. I think that he probably followed the "Three Pillars of Survivorship" throughout those five years:

So, I would encourage you to look at the profiles of some of the Stage III members here who have survived through the five-year mark. You can browse through the following thread to find some Stage III's with a risk profile similar to yours.

Good job. Exercise is very important. I walked 2 miles a day during chemo treatment until near the end when I needed more rest. Congratulations on one year!! Keep on keepin' on!!!
