John's MRI came back with a shadow on it, which he said could be something or could be nothing. He suggests continuing his chemo for another two months and then do a new MRI, if that one comes back looking good then switching him to Xeloda/Avastin for a few months since he says those two work well together with minimal side effects. If his numbers still look good then taking him off chemo altogether. The surgical oncologist says the MRI looks good and the shadow is expected post-surgery, so he isn't worried about it. I checked with his local oncologist and she has the notes from both doctors and will talk to him about the plan moving forward next week.

That's part of the problem, he loves spicy food but he can no longer tolerate it. He can't even eat breakfast sausage as it's "too spicy". Mild taco seasoning is even too spicy. He finds it incredibly frustrating.
