Cancer Cure news

For blood cancers, but there’s a very good chance it can be effective on solid tumors.

Very promising news.

This article gives a good overview of the state of play in this area. Some of it is technical, but the conclusions and takeaways are digestible.

Very cool. Obviously still some work needed to get it working in solid tumours. You can imagine this working well as part of a multi-modal immunotherapy - ie an oncolytic virus payload backed up by CAR-trained killer T-cells and a PD-1 checkpoint blockade.

That’s some Navy SEAL cancer treatment right there (and probably about the same budget…)

MSS

I’m grateful for the opportunity to get the immunotherapy, but my research has me less enthusiastic about the outcome than I’d like to be.

Going to do it concurrent with sbrt.

I don't think from what I understand or read you can do Immunotherapy for MSS. 85% of Colorectal Cancer patients are MSS and they figured out MSI, WTF>>>lol...Although I understand if you have a high tumor burder and is MSS you might be able to get immunotherapy. Do you know your tumor burden?

When consulting for an oncologist, I consulted with Dr. Chang (NYC). Basically all he talked about to me was dendtridic cell therapy.
He might be a good one to consult with if interested in it.

What was your takeaway, beachsunrise?

https://www.ratemds.com/doctor-ratings/ ... k-NY.html/

He wasn't "The One" for me at the time. This was over a year ago when I consulted with him. Consult was around $500.00 then.
Best I remember he works with a dr in Germany maybe with this therapy. I was impressed with his research on it for sure.
Of all the consults (around 6) he was the only one doing this type of therapy over expanded SOC.

I just came across “oncolytic virus” today, and then happened upon this article published last July. It sounded promising. I searched this forum and it doesn’t sound like a new thing (goes back about a decade). All of the language is beyond my ability to understand. Can someone here shed some light on how promising this might be today, or within the next decade?

Thank you for sharing. This looks like an inventory of possible ways of turning a tumor that does not respond to immunotherapy into one that does. It proposes that viruses could be used to “attach” to cold tumors and turn them hot. Meaning the immune cells can attack them. My take is that this would be years in the making, but it’s good to see that there are these sophisticated paths forward.
