I'm just a dude who still can't believe he had a resection and went through chemo (currently 13 years NED). Is this real life?

I was told by ONC that for rectal ca, they followed for 10 years. That was OK with me.

To all who asked about neuropathy in my feet: Still take gabapentin...don't really know if it works or not. Still have problem toes. Worst is at night when my toes feel like they are buzzing.

I found that using Aspercreme w/4% lidocaine spray works at night. Hard to explain to anyone who has never experienced neuropathy in feet, how numbing your numb toes helps but it does. The numbing spray seems to quiet the firing nerve ends.

Best to everyone!

Interesting. My husband also has permanent neuropathy in his feet, he found that if I massage them before going to bed (I use a CBD oil cream), it helps a lot. He’s also on daily Gabapentin (which also helps for his back).

Congrats on the big 10 year mark :D
