Hope - Thirteen Year Survival

Postby Surroundedbylove » Wed Nov 17, 2021 11:37 pm

Thirteen years ago I was diagnosed and was a frequent poster to this forum. I loved to see the posts when people returned many years later. Today that is me - Stage 3 survivor - rectal cancer - chemo radiation (oxaliplatin and xeloda simultaneously), surgery, more xeloda, reversal surgery. Alive and well in spite of some longterm side effects. Four lymph nodes at clinical diagnosis - two local and two regional.

Congrats on another year!
I'm just a dude who still can't believe he had a resection and went through chemo (currently 13 years NED). Is this real life?
