I agree, but it seems you have a good doc, i always question the rationale for a treatment or procedure, you seem to have a good path forward. Take the break for the holidays and come back even more determined to kick this things butt

The holidays are rough in our situation. I was just saying yesterday, i wonder if i'll be around next christmas.

Naive or not, i think it's important to have hope. If a doctor is willing to do the work, then there's possibility. I respect your no chemo decision, as rough as FOLFIRINOX was, i am not sure i would turn down chemo. We all know what we want and is better for us.

My thinking, is one step at a time. You are here and alive, you're still in this fight and have tools. There's vaccines being trialed. I know there's been hope in treatment in the past, but it seems that we are close to an inflection point in cancer treatment. It would be a shame to give in now.

Sorry about the rambling. Emotionally, i'm also in that place. This is the best way I rationalize it for me. Hope it gives you something to think about.

There’s a bit of “what’s the point” from my perspective other than the fact that you have to run out the grounder to second base.

That’s how I’m wired.

The fact that I am here and doing as well as I appear is a miracle.

My love left me.

I’m all alone.

Outwardly, I look fine.

Cant meet anyone in good faith with an unknown shelf life, not that I want to.

Sucks, man.

Agent Smith:
You hear that Mr. Anderson?... That is the sound of inevitability... It is the sound of your death... Goodbye, Mr. Anderson...

I think we're wired much of the same way. I get it, but looking at it that way, there was never a point. It's a zero sum game.
Like you said, gotta run it down. When I was diagnosed I had a long call with someone i never met, she's stage 4, been through numerous cycles of chemo etc..
She told me to lean towards "yes", accept every opportunity, make plans, go out and be daring. Well, i got married last May, we made plans to go to Hawaii next fall. I got a new job during chemo. It was agony interviewing and got in a highly competitive company. We plan on moving and buying a house. It is kind of funny in a weird way, i may not be around for any of that but why not. Lean towards yes.

I keep thinking, the difference between me and someone healthy is they don't think of the end, i do.

“I don't know what he can do to save us. But I do know that as long as there is a single breath left in his body, he will not give up and neither can we.”

Seems like you should keep doing whatever you are doing.

What is cavitation in the context of tumors?
