Oncologist not overly concerned it is colon related gave choice of rescanning in 3 months or referral to cardio thoracic surgeon. Choose the referral, said it could be related to recent upper respiratory infection and reaction of thymus. Waiting to be scheduled to see surgeon.

Saw thoracic surgeon, he said he was not overly impressed with the nodule and was not sure he would have even noted it, but gave my wife the option of a MRI or wait 3 months for another CT scan. Chose MRI which was completed 2/18/25. It showed a 9mm thymic cyst. Thoracic surgeon said benign finding will do a chest CT in 6 months just to keep an eye on it which is protocol for small thymic cysts. Breathing a sigh of relief, she is now 4 years 4 months out of surgery for recurrence and 6 years out of original surgery. Lots or prayers answered, keeping them going.

Glad things worked out for her !

Supports my own philosophy :
" You will miss more for not looking ... than not knowing !"

Keeping more eyes ON ... is a good strategy
