Just a sigmoid colectomy. I have no idea how they got it so wrong, but grateful that my surgeon called me to ease my mind.

So relieved.

Here's an interesting article that you might want to read:

I hope your surgery goes well. *hugs* Walking as much as possible after surgery helps the bowels to start working again. I started out by sitting in the reclining chair by my bed and then slowly started taking longer walks.

Thank you for the tip! Surgery Monday....is it weird that I'm not scared, just excited?

Good luck. No particular reason you should be scared and this will get rid of the tumor. Of course there's a risk with any surgery but it's small. Recovery from laparoscopic surgery is usually quicker than for open, with less risk of complications (which is why they do it, of course).

Sorry to hear about all that angst over a coding error. It happens (I have seen lists of codes and it's daunting and there are many codes that are similar). Poor human interface design in my opinion, but it's what we have. What they were proposing didn't really make sense so good it got straightened out.

My prep went really well and I'm ready to roll. Thank you to all who've been so supportive. I'll post after surgery to tell how it went. See you on the other side of surgery.
