Dear Shellydo,
Sorry for the diagnose, here you will find a lot of information and support. I was diagnosed with rectal cancer at age 45 four years ago and I have been through the same type of treatment you described. My life has not changed much, I am still working, running and making plans for the future.
It is tough to get it, but medicine has done a lot of progresses and young age can be an advantage. I found it very helpful to continue training strength all the way to speed up recovery.
All the best
