HAPPY 4TH OF JULY!!!

Postby weisssoccermom » Sun Jul 04, 2021 6:45 pm

I just realized that I hadn't posted my usual Happy 4th of July post. My first stab at it this year was rather morose...dealing with COVID and how the virus has changed so much. Instead..let's go back to the old days...and share with the friends on the board how we are all celebrating! That used to be fun hearing how others celebrate. Oh and btw...I want to wish our fellow Canadians a Happy July 1st (their equivalent of our July 4th).

I'll start. We are once again at our timeshare at Ocean Shores. Dye to our high temps this week and lack of rain...no fireworks but that's OK. Been here for a week now...hubby and I will leave tomorrow night as I am teaching summer school which starts on Tuesday. Beautiful weather and it's been wonderful to hear laughter of kiddos in the pool and watch families out on the beach flying kites with their kids and tossing a Frisbee to the furbaby. Seeing so many families just having fun...riding bikes or getting an ice cream cone brings back memories of when my own kiddos were little. By far though, the BEST memory I will have from this year is the phone call I got fairly early on the 26th from my son in Philly. My little grandaughter made her entrance 8 days early and now joins her older brother at home. I can't wait to fly out there and meet her and see Lucas! It's been WAY to long.

Happy 4th of July everyone!

Are your temps still high? Ours were awful last weekend but much better now.

Question: Does your big downsizing move involve your daughter's suite in the basement???
