Sorry jumpman - that sucks! I’m by no means an expert but I do know of several people who successfully had local rectal recurrence treated (usually surgically). The main thing is to find a surgeon who specialises in recurrent rectal/pelvic cancer and ‘salvage’ therapy (terrible name), as the surgery is a lot less standardised than a typical ULAR, and it can sometimes require some more creative techniques to make sure they get a margin. You may also want to discuss complementary options with a radiation oncologist But it’s definitely doable depending on how it all presents. Best of luck.
