Advice

Postby Texangirl » Thu Jun 24, 2021 5:29 pm

Any advice on the side effects from the chemo and radiation after treatment. Like swollen feet and leg
And any diets besides high fiber
Any ideas on celebrating CRC anniversary it's my 1st on Sunday.
Thanks

Today marks the 8th anniversary of my ileostomy reversal. Yes, there are things that rectal cancer patients can do from year to year to deal with the long-term side effects of treatment. For example:

Also, there are many ways to celebrate each CRC anniversary as it comes up. Over the past 8 years I have travelled to 31 different countries, 4 continents and have been around the world twice. I have travelled by land, by sea, by air. I have used different modes of transport including car, train, tramway, cable car, bicycle, snow-mobile, dog sled, toboggan, cruise ship, sail boat, river boat, barge, etc. All of this while dealing with persistent LARS and long-term peripheral neuropathy.

Even this past year I managed to travel to 6 different countries during breaks in COVID confinement. It takes a bit of imagination and determination to do this, but it is possible. You just have to be patient and persistent.

Wishing you the best of luck on your onward journey... Take care ...

Hey you!

Good to see you are still around and kickin' as well. I think I joined right around the same time as you.

I was such a scared puppy back then.
