Turn up anything, Stu?
I am going to call the top three makers of the two scanners I am interested in and find out what facilities they have sold them to so I don't have to go overseas maybe.
I've spent days trying to hunt info I need on the net so just going to call the source.

Wow, I had no idea that there were these issues about scanning machinery and software! I had heard a number of years ago that there were older, less effective mammography machines still in use, but that's it. One more thing to obsess about? Oy vey!

Nothing yet , sorry ! So far the top MRI seems to be more in use for research !!!! Strokes and other types of illnesses. Hopefully the proposed one for the cancer centre is for general use !
Still trying to find out what clinical work it covers if any !

Way to go, Stu!!! I am proud of you. Keep me posted.
I got an email from one of the three places that has a top machine. They want me to submit a summary of my case. I am working on that now.

Update: Discovery 64 slice CT scan still shows nothing. I let it be known I will not have another scan with it, its useless for me. We got to do a more sensitive scan machine. Until surgeon can dig more info as its not his field really, just based on trust the rad dept and rad docs do the right type scan based on his orders and maybe where to look more closely on a patients scan. I told him that I was told by his rad dept the 64 slice is protocol for all crc's until a PET/CT or MRI is ordered. So, until a better plan can be had I did agree to the PET?CT as soon as it can be arranged but will most likely go elsewhere for a more sensitive scan as not to miss the surgery boat hopefully. What a day!
He appreciates I bring meaningful discussions to appts :) I think I am his fav.
