Postby ASTEPHENS33 » Sat Jun 05, 2021 7:41 pm

8mm tumor on lung. Do they normally do a biopsy or just monitor?

I am dealing with this now. Has your spot just shown up or has it grown? Usually needs to be at least 8 mm to biopsy. Mine grew (has been there 4 years on CT scan but I was also on chemo until 10 months ago). It grew from 5mm to 8mm in 3 months. Scared to death but will tackle this new issue if need be. Hope yours is nothing!

My mum had a PET scan at 8 mm . They tracked it from 2 mm over two years . The scan had uptake at 8mm so they removed it ! No biopsy due to seed tracking.
Never had a further issue with it !
I wish your friend well !

Unfortunately, I had 9 small (3-6mm) nodules appear on a ct scan where there had been none 6 months prior.

They are assumed to be metastasis of rectal cancer :(

My oncologist and I have decided to wait 90 days to do a new scan to see if theyve grown as they are too small to biopsy.

I have been doing the joe tippens protocol faithfully everyday in the hopes of eliminating/reducing/stabilizing these lung nodules.

If it doesnt work, I will look into going to coswig, germany for YAG surgery.

My feeling is I’m a goner sooner rather than later unfortunately, but I will try everything
