Hello everyone!
My husband was diagnosed in Feb 2016 with Stage IIb colon cancer at the age of 45 ( Removed Mass and no lymph node involvement did 6 mo of Xeloda) and then March of 2020 they found a 7CM spot on the right lobe of his liver.
He did 3 months of chemo and then had Liver resection surgery August 2020( removed entire right lobe). All Margins were clear and no lymph node involvement.
He has been doing Chemo again for the last 6 months and had a scan at 3 months post op and all was clear. Did a scan last week now 6 months post op and was set to end chemo if all was clear. There was a 3cm spot show up on the liver right near the surgery site but his CEA is staying at 1.5. The DR said it could very well be scar tissue and not to worry yet but he has a PET scan scheduled for next week to be certain of what we are dealing with. Any one that has had Liver resection have this happen? Can't help but worry since this did not show up 3 months ago ! We thought the chemo was almost over and then just feels like a punch in the gut
