Opinions welcome: how old to test?

At what age should adult child of colon cancer survivor be tested?
I was dxd at age 58. My kids are in their 30s.
Opinions welcomed.

My doctor told me my kids should be screened at 35 - 10 years before my diagnosis at 45. And earlier if they show any symptoms at all.

I think that 35 is reasonable.

10/17: 2.7 2.2 1.6 cm (-90%). Lymphs: 3 x 3 mm (-62.5%), 4 x 3 (-75%), 5 x 3 (-40%). 5.1 CM from AV

My oncologist and my genetic counselor both said that my kids should get their first colonoscopy at 40.

I was 53 at diagnosis.
Stage 3c
2/2020 Right colon hemicolectomy (invasive adenocarcinoma with micropillary features)
Moderately differentiated
Tumor size: 4.4 in greatest dimension Metastatic Carcinoma in 12 out of 28 lymph nodes
Extranodal extension identified
Margins negative

3/2020 Began 12 rounds of FolFox
9/2020 Finished FolFox
12/2020 PET Scan-NED
1-2021 ctDNA Test negative
5-2021 ctDNA Test negative
7-2021 ctDNA Test negative
9-2021 PET/CT Scan-NED
