The Colon Club is proud to announce Ben White as our new Senior Editor. We are incredibly thankful to Diana Klutz Sloan, outgoing Senior Editor, for her wholehearted commitment to The Colon Club and we are fortunate that she will continue to volunteer with us in other capacities.
Ben was a Naval Aviator when he was diagnosed with early onset colorectal cancer at age 26. Although cancer pushed his life in an unexpected direction, it also led Ben to join The Colon Club family as a featured survivor in the 2019 publication of our On The Rise magazine. The Colon Club launched Ben into the world of advocacy and he has worked alongside a number of nonprofits in the cancer community since.
Ben’s experience with nonprofits will lend to developing resource content. With a quiet confidence in his demeanor, Ben writes with eloquence. His understanding of people and his abilities to turn their feelings into words will help us tell the stories of who the people in our community are beyond their disease.
