Hi all,
My husband intially had rectal cancer in 2016 and now has liver and lung mets. I am curious to know what makes a person a good candidate for ablation. My husband has two small tumors in liver, seg 7 and 8 I believe. He has three lung mets that are also small.
I am a skeptic by nature and his oncologist is setting him up with an immunotherapy/vaccine trial and I worry he is choosing this over possible ablation. I cannot get a straight answer from the oncologist except that he has too many mets.
Can some one shed light on ablations for me. I have tried searching what makes a good candidate for ablations and cannot find good info.
Thanks as always,
Betula
