Leronlimab : new drug treatment for metastasis

Postby martd » Fri Apr 10, 2020 10:17 am

I wanted to share a new drug in trials that looks very promising. Leronlimab developed by a company named Cytodyn in Vancouver Washington. Now it's in clinical trials for breast cancer butt there is also mention that it should work on colorectal cancer as well. I believe it's in phase 2 butt has been given fast track designation by the FDA. And here's more exciting news they learned it treats the inflammation in lungs caused by covid19. They were given emergency approval to start clinical trials in hospitals across the country treating patients, it's working! People are being removed from ventilators and discharged from hospital.

So there's a good chance with emergency approval for covid19 it could speed up approval for cancer. Definitely keep this one on the radar. I'll attach a link for their site they have info on their trial.

Update: Leronlimab was granted a phase 2 basket trial involving 22 solid cancer tumors. Colon cancer is included. The first patient was injected today, I believe it was breast cancer. So far they have been seeing very good results with the metastatic breast cancer trial, and a big plus is side effects are very mild if any at all.
