Ok so I met other surgeon who will remove gallbladder. Basically said it's rare to have polyps and even more the size of mine and that we were taking it out to rule out malignancy / stop it early/ prevent it.
Primary also put in consult for me with nuerologist because I have been seeing some horizontal lines in vision and translucent yellow thing which eye Dr couldn't explain and I've been having memory and concentration issues , dropping things, fatigue that won't go away, pain all over and probably a bunch of other things I can't remember. I'm dizzy a lot of time, get tachycardia from walking and generally feel like crap. Prostate seems to be getting larger as well. Hopefully in next week or so I'll get a surgery date.

Just thought I would do a quick update. Taking provigil now for the exhaustion. Brain is working much better and I'm able to do things now. Now I'm tired and not completely exhausted which is great.
Tuesday I have surgery to remove sigmoid colon and gallbladder.

At such moments, the main thing is not to cheat yourself, you just need to call a doctor. If something bad happened, the doctor would tell you right away. I hope all will be ok! Have a nice day!

Not sure if they will cancel surgery or not. I stated feeling a little nauseous an hour after started antibiotics last night . Took metronidazole and neomycin sulfate. I threw up hour and a half after second dose of them and then again at 3am which was 4 hours after last dose. After I feel better and can drink water no problem.

Just thought I would update. Still in hospital, passed gas yesterday then nothing, diahrea this morning then nothing. Bridge diet didn't go so well so I was back on liquid diet today. my right thigh was completely numb but has been regaining feeling. Only took out 6 to 8 inches of colon. The gallbladder surgeon saw me today and said from outside gallbladder looked normal and nothing looked like it was spreading to liver. Just waiting on pathology.

Funny thing is since I've been hospitalized I haven't needed any hypertension medications.

Sounds like more good news.

When I had surgery, I think I was on ice chips only for a day, then fluids--that cup of bouillon was the best thing I ever tasted! :) Then I started tiny, low-residue meals on maybe the third day? But I didn't achieve a bowel movement until the 6th/7th day, and that required a laxative plus a suppository plus a cup or two of coffee, so it seems to me that you are progressing very well! :)

Glad your BP is under control...maybe it is the relief of stress!

Got an email notification today for new documents in my health care file with colon surgeon. Pulled it up and it was pathology reports. Everything came back negative and I'm definitely relieved. I've been asking the nurses all day what's holding up my discharge and if sounds like I needed to fart again and my stomach was still hard. I farted tonight and stomach is soft so fingers crossed I'll be out of here tomorrow. Still hurts and going 1 and 2 are difficult but they are getting better.

Going back to surgeons office today. Pain has been getting pretty bad and frequent around my upper left incision site. Doesn't look infected or anything but this last week it's really ramped up from hurting when I walk too fast at work to hurting a lot of the time even with rest. Sleep is getting difficult and now it's hurting when I wake up (as of this morning).
