Pooping in my pants

Postby helen098 » Fri Jun 23, 2017 10:12 pm

A little backround I have had bronchitis for over a month
Two antibiotics, 30 days of Predinsone many nebulizer treatments and 2 bottles of Codeine cough medicine
Finialy starting to feel better but my colon had been messed up going days without pooping
Then can't stop
Lots of fun
I get on the subway , another delay and my stomach starts
What do I do? If I have an acccident on the subway people will notice and it will be bad
The subway is so crowed I don't think I will be able to get off
I decide what the hell roll the dice and take my chances
I get on the subway sweating and praying
I don't know how I made it but I got home
Without an accident
Though when I got to go I must have gone for
20 minutes
Then an hour later it starts again
Someone in the bathroom
I use my Tupperware and paper towel makes shift
Solution and again go for a long time

I think everyone who had/has colon rectal cancer should legal have their own bathroom
At all times
I was so happy I didn't humiliate myself on the subway then I lost it in my bedroom

Such highs and lows
No one exact the club can understand

Its a shame to see you having so many issues so far out from your original surgery.

I too am concerned about the poop. I actually did the other day pulled over on the freeway to let one loose. But i knew i wasnt going to make it home. Lucky the new neoprene car seats were installed.

For my it only seems to be when i dont take my immodium, metamucil and powerful codiene daily.

Ive to go back up to work soon working 12 hr shifts and far from any toilet then a 40 minute trip to and from work via bus.

Fear of pooping while taking Public transportation has been with me for a long time
Don't think it will ever totally go away

While I was trying to control myself I was thinking about how to play it if it happened
Ignore it don't think this would have worked

Own up to it and say wtf

Glad I didn't have to find out

I wore depends after my resection when I went out in public.

I know it's not optimal to wear them for many people, but I was glad to have the help.

Heard a funny one the other day..

"The guy that just walked past just shit in my pants"

" Its not me its the guy in front"

" Is that poo i smell, lucky i thought it was my socks"

Got to break the ice i guess in a bad situation.

I seem to have days when I just don't go and then days when I don't stop... seems that things just don't evacuate like they used to.The last few days have been "busy" days back and forth to the loo then this morning....disaster everything just happened in a moment before I could get back indoors. This is the first time this has happened and now I'll be anxious when I go out on "busy" days. Maybe I ate something, maybe it was the treatment but I truly hope that it was a one off.
Feel for you guys who suffer the long term... it's horrid!
