Scared about symptoms...

Postby Kaworu » Tue Jun 21, 2016 4:36 pm

Hi everyone... Hope everyone is fine...
Well, before all, sorry for my bad grammar, I'm from Brazil, so my english isn't the best...

I didn't want to write this... I really didn't wanted, but I'm felling so lonely, without anyone to talk about this. I didn't know if I have colon cancer, but I have a lot of symptoms!

It all started some months ago, with an anal itching... It passed in some weeks, so I thought it was nothing. But, since April I wasn't feeling well, a discomfort in the lower right... I gone to a doctor and the diagnosis was simply "stress". I didn't knew about colon cancer, so I never thought it was something like it.

But then, I noted small amount of blood in stool, and the discomfort... It wasn't passing. The doctor asked for a endoscopy and the results are fine, nothing wrong. But then, the itching came back, the discomfort worsened (is not pain, just a discomfort). When I lost weight, I started to search on the net, and then I found about colon cancer. I was scared as hell, really scared! I started to dig whenever I can and I was becoming more and more scared!

The last couple of days maked a mess in my head... Everything is blurry... Everything seems... So wrong. Then I find this place, I find a lot of people who are fighting like heroes, people who don't give up. I started to feel well, to calm down, to process things right.

I'll see another doctor tomorrow... Hoping for the best...

I don't know what I have... But I found strength to endure whatever comes, and I found it here. So... I needed to say... Thank you all...

Are you saying that you had a colonoscopy? And the doctor found nothing wrong? Did he mention hemorrhoids? Hemorrhoids can certainly cause discomfort and itching and can bleed when passing stool.

Welcome,

Because you are bleeding, a colonoscopy should be done. I suspect you have hemorrhoids. As heaven stated, they itch and can bleed when passing a stool. How old are you? Does colon cancer run in your family.

Keep us posted,

Thanks for the support...*hugs* I feel a little bad for writing about my fears and a hypothetical diagnosis here, just when there's a lot of people struggling with a real battle, a tough one. I feel... Like a coward, crying out for nothing... So... I'm sorry for this...

I passed my entire life not knowing about this type of cancer, living in my personal little world and then, I discovered the impact this disease can cause on people's life... now I'm starting to see things away from my own nose, to see how life can be hard sometimes... No matter how will be my diagnosis, I learned something with this. Something that I won't forget.

I'll promise to post as soon as I have an update! *hugs*

Thanks, Lee!
I'm 28 years old.

I talked a lot with the doctor today. He was gentle and explained to me a lot of things, left everything clear and said that independently of my age, this can happen with me as with everyone else, and that's no one is 100% safe. He asked for a colonoscopy to check if everything is OK... He thinks it could be colitis, because of the other symptoms.

I suspect that was a case in my family, but It's impossible to confirm. That was another thing that left me scared...

Sounds like you have a great Dr. Glad to hear your getting a colonscopy. That will give you a true diagnoses of what is going on. Anything else is just a speculation.

Again, keep us posted,

Thanks for all the support... It's really helping me a lot.
The colonoscopy is scheduled for Friday... I'm scared, anxious and very nervous... But trying my best to stay calm. Anxiety won't help me now...

The prep is the worst part of the colonoscopy. They give you medication so you don't remember or feel pain. I hope your prep and colonoscopy go well!*hugs*

The prep are... Ugh! The colonoscopy will be today, at 6pm. The anxiety is driving me crazy (and the constant bowels to)! The last days have been so long... I started to rethink a lot of things, reevaluating my life and beliefs. I want to write a lot of things here, about how I feel now... But, for better or worse, I'll leave it to after I get the results.

Once again, thanks...
