Hi Celine,

Thanks for the update! It was nice to see your post with that distinctive avatar of yours designed by your children!

For those of you who were not around here back when the news of the success of this trial was first published in the New York Times, The Wall Street Journal and elsewhere, here are links to some of the stories:

Follow-up #19 was completed earlier this week. NED continues!

Since my last update, my former lab guru, Dr. Eric Tran, announced that he successfully treated a pancreatic cancer patient by engineering her T Cells to express the receptors that he found on my immune cells. She and I share the same HLA type (C:08*02) and mutation (G12D).

Exciting stuff!!!

pfccr -

Good luck on your scans next week! We'll be thinking of you

It was good to see a post from you today. I was a bit worried when I saw the news about a tornado in Florida and didn't see any posts from you for about a week. I hope the bad weather didn't cause damage at your place.

Take care ...

Hello All,

Just back from NIH after my twentieth (!) follow-up.
Still all clear. I saw Dr. Jim Yang in clinic this time--he did my initial screening in 2015.
Dr. Yang has made the decision to have me back in TWO years instead of one.
Today marks 8 years NED.

Over the past year I've heard of three more mCRC patients on this trial who are on the way to PR (hopefully all the way to NED).

If you're interested in this trial, you can find more info here: https://ccr.cancer.gov/sb-faqs

Wow - Congratulations Sleen. I have been away for quite a while. Life gets busy sometimes, and to be honest - I haven't had a lot to contribute in some time. Lost too many of my forum colleagues. DK, Maia, Bev, etc. I have also been busy preparing to move from where I have been living to the home my dearly departed wife and I built for retirement, though I have not quite retired yet.

Again, Congratulations on the latest checkup!

Thanks Grouseman,

I'm not here much anymore either--just for updates.
Good luck with the move. I hope that it goes as smoothly as possible. I just spent a week in the U.P. and am now dreaming of retiring there--so pretty in summertime.

Many congrats indeed Sleen !!!!
best wishes moving forward.

Grouseman, I believe Maia is still active through the FightCRC initiative with her CRC Trial Finder

and sadly yes, we have lost many over the years.

Cheers and Harmony to all on the Journey
