Great Consultation With Dr. D'Angelica

Dear All -

Pete is scheduled for Liver Resection/Pump Surgery with Dr. D'Angelica on October 29th.
Loved Him. So I asked him how many has has done(Pump) and he said alot ---- paused and said
That he has done the MOST in the world!! So both Pete and I are ready to get this lesion out.
Said Pete would only lose 5 - 10% at Most of his liver. In a really accessible spot.

Sloan could not do his CT Scan today so assuming Pete's scan on Thursday is good we proceed with
surgery and start with Dr. Kemeny two weeks ish after surgery. We did not meet her today due to Time Constraints. I am a little confused on the chemo after --
not Oxi ----I Hope. We hope it's Folfori systemic and FUDR in the pump. Would love to hear what systemic chemo
any clubbie had!

We are pooped ---Can't believe how crazy it was at Sloan! Wow! Again, Loved Everything about D'Angelica.

Glad it went well. Mom had Folfiri with pump cause she had had folfox year before. Dont know what is up her sleeve this time around.

I had folfuri before my resection an am on it now along with fudr. So excited for Pete!.

Julie and Pete -- This sounds like a very promising visit indeed! Dr. K gave my Dad FUDR and FOLFIRI (pre and post-resection but luckily sounds like you guys go straight to resection !).

That is exciting news!

My DH got Irinotecan systemically and FUDR in the pump initially because he did not have a port. Then he kicked up to Folfiri and Erbitux systemically with FUDR in the pump. Now he gets Folfiri and Erbitux systemically with FUDR and Mitomycin in the pump ... basically everything and the kitchen sink now.

This is Great news!
My wife has a tentative surgery date for the HAI pump with Dr. DeMatteo on Halloween. Probably run into each other.
We too are still exhausted from our 4 days in NY last week consulting with Dr. K and her team.

Pete sounds like he is in good spirits, but Jewels, I hope your ready for a diet Probably only for a while, until the master chef is up and cooking again. I dunno though, Pete does love his hot dogs
