For something a little more meditative--
- 'Lunamuse' and several of the other cuts on Ocean Moon, by Kay Gardner.
Gardner was a flutist; the music has haunted me since I first heard it playing in the darkroom in college 30 years ago. You might have to buy the CD to get it; Ocean Moon was remastered and combined her first LP Moon Circles with some of her later stuff.
- Pretty much anything you can find by Tim Janis...hear his music one day on TV and after 5 minutes, had to find it and buy it. Orchestral, with a lot of celtic and inspirational roots
- Moya Brennan, her 'Two Horizons' album
For just general feeling good--
- The Changer and the Changed, by Cris Williamson (pretty much the whole album). This is a very strength in unity set of music
- No Secrets by Carly Simon
- Melissa Etheridge's album, The Road Less Travelled, with 'I Run for Life' -- again, pretty much the whole album.
- Alison Krauss and Union Station, Gravity from Lonely Runs Both Ways
- Taking the Long Way (the whole album) by the Dixie Chicks
- Road Tested by Bonnie Raitt (all of it)
- Miles of Aisles by Joni Mitchell
- Eye to the Telescope, KT Tunstall (Suddenly I See...)
I'll go check out my favorite playlists--I have one when I want to meditate and one when I want to be revved up, and they both stay on my iPod all the time.
