I am 46 years old, female with Familial Adenomatous Polyposis. 17 years ago I had a total abdominal colectomy w/ an ileorectal anastamosis. I gained 80 pounds w/ my only child and then gained 20 with chemotherapy 11 years ago. I'm finding it REALLY hard to lose weight. Has anyone had any problems losing weight w/ colon surgery?
