My ability to post was completely locked out for a week and so was on IT support!! But it seems like it’s been fixed now and can post. I still can’t direct message yet but will try to connect separately.

How has husband’s week on treatment and recovering from cycles? I hope he’s been able to tolerate symptoms and side effects. I know you were still waiting for your genetic testing results as well.

My husband has just switched back to an old line of treatment last thur. We are trying to persue lonsurf/avastin treatment/clinical trial right now. But his symptoms are pretty severe with diarrhea so trying to get that under somewhat control.

Hi Suelee,

I’m glad you were able to get your account restored. I know it took me posting a few times before I was given full privileges.

My husband has been suffering from exhaustion. That has really been his main side effects so far. The past week he has had a bad attitude and is driving me crazy, but I doubt that is a side effects from the treatment lol.

I’m sorry to hear about the diarrhea. Have you tried adding more fiber? I know that can help sometimes. I’m glad your husband is looking at treatment. I hope you find a treatment that works well for your husband. I’m sending you good thoughts.

Thank you Jacques for the bump, I wasn't aware of this thread.
Just a few words for the other spouses here, especially new ones, based on my personal experience. It is an amazing resource, and a place where others do understand what you're going through (unlike friends or relatives who, although meaning well, have no idea what it's like to care for someone fighting this awful, relentless disease). One thing I found though - it's easy for cancer to take over your life, and spending time on a forum immerses you even deeper; so I find myself taking long breaks during which I do not post on, or even read, the forum.
But I know it's always there, in case I need a boost, or as an added research place (always good to read personal testimonies in addition to impersonal scientific articles!).
Wishing you all strength for another year of combat!
